We’d like to ask your support for our friends over at the Battle of Plattsburgh Association (BOPA) who are currently trying to rescue their museum and “the Old Stone Barracks”. The City of Plattsburgh has suffered financially from severe economic duress with the loss of the airbase and the subsequent withdrawal of vital industry and would like to claim the property for redevelopment. The Battle that occurred here between the land and naval forces was extremely significant for New York, Vermont, the U.S., Canadian and British governments, and the loss of these Historical structures located on the old airbase would be grievous for students of the events here. Please show your support to our friends at BOPA - become a member, or if you are a vendor or historian - contact these folks to see if there is something you can do. Shown here on the left - Shako, Regimental, and Trousers all created and painted by Ephraim Beeks & Co., Ltd. |

With a new year started, we are working on projects to premier for 2008. We’d like to thank Mr. Steve Abolt for his assistance with an original shako in the Museums’ collection which has been a mystery since 1961 when it was discovered. (Pix in the customer section.) Thanks, and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to click on the link and e-mail us. We are located in Waterbury, Vermont and will be adding information and pictures as they become available, so please check back often. - John and Rebecca |
